Can someone explain what the TikTok algorithm is and how it works? I’m trying to understand what determines what shows up on my feed.

The TikTok algorithm is a system that shows you videos based on what you watch, like, comment on, and how long you watch them. To reset it, clear your cache, remove watch history, and start interacting with new content so TikTok relearns your preferences.

The TikTok algorithm decides which videos appear on your For You Page (FYP) based on your likes, watch time, shares, and interactions. To reset it, you can clear your cache, unlike or unfollow content you no longer like, and interact with new types of videos. This retrains TikTok to show content that better matches your current interests.
