just switched to a macbook and i have no idea what buttons to press for a screenshot

To take a screenshot, you can use keyboard shortcuts. You can use Shift + Command + 3 to take a screenshot of the whole screen. You can use Shift + Command + 4 to take a screenshot of a particular area of the screen. You can use Shift + Command + 4, followed by the space bar, to take a screenshot of a particular window. You can use Shift + Command + 5 to bring up the screenshot toolbar, which offers other screenshotting and recording options, including choosing the location of the screenshot.
