just bought a macbook what is the command to capture a specific part of the screen

To take a screenshot on a MacBook, press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3 to capture the entire screen. If you want to capture a specific area, press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4, then drag the cursor to select the part of the screen you want. The screenshot will automatically be saved to your desktop.
