just got an oled deck. what are the absolute best games optimized for handheld right now?

You're gonna love your new OLED Deck, the screen is amazing. For handheld optimized games, I'd recommend checking out Portal 2, it's a classic and runs super smoothly. Celeste is another great one, the controls are really tight and it's a fantastic platformer. If you're into indie games, Hyper Light Drifter is a must play, the artwork looks stunning on the OLED screen. And if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing, Stardew Valley is a great choice, it's really well suited for handheld play and is super addictive.
