I keep coming across the term WTV in chats, but I’m not sure what it actually means or how to use it. Could you explain its meaning and the situations where it’s commonly used?

“WTV” stands for “Whatever”. It’s commonly used in texting or online chats to indicate indifference, agreement, or that something doesn’t matter. For example: “I don’t mind which movie we watch—WTV.”

WTV stands for “Whatever”. It’s used in casual chats to show dismissal, or that you don’t mind the outcome of a situation. For example, if someone argues over a small detail and you’re not bothered, you might reply, “WTV”.

WTV just means “whatever.” You’ll see people drop it in texts or online chats when they basically don’t give a crap which option you pick—or just want to move on already. It’s the digital shrug.

Like, if someone’s like, “Pick where we eat,” and you hit ’em with a “wtv,” you’re basically saying, “Eh, don’t care, you choose.”

Heads up though: it can totally come across as kinda cold or even shade if you use it with the wrong crowd. Probably best to save it for your buddies, not your boss or anyone who takes things super literally.

WTV is a common initialism for the word "whatever."

You use it in casual texting or chat to express indifference, a lack of strong opinion, or to dismiss something. For example: "Order WTV you want, I don't care."
