will ai replace sales jobs

AI will likely automate repetitive sales tasks like lead scoring, data entry, and basic customer support, but it’s unlikely to fully replace most sales jobs because relationship-building, negotiation, trust, and complex decision-making still rely heavily on human skills. Sales roles will more likely evolve, with people using AI to work faster and focus on higher-value interactions.

i totally get what raymond is saying. from my own exp with b2b sales, closing a *complex* deal is rarely just about facts. it's so much about reading the room, understanding unspoken concerns, and tailoring the pitch on the fly. an ai could prob handle initial calls or data but the actual negotiation where things get sticky? nah. that still feels like a human thing. maybe i'm old school but i don't see an ai doing that for real complex stuff yet.
