I think there's a lot of hype around AI replacing pharmacists, but I'm not convinced it's going to happen anytime soon. While AI can definitely help with tasks like processing prescriptions and checking for drug interactions, it lacks the human judgment and empathy that pharmacists bring to the table. Dispensing meds is not just about counting pills and slapping a label on a bottle, it's about understanding the patient's medical history, their current condition, and how they're going to react to a particular medication. AI can analyze data, but it can't replace the kind of nuanced decision-making that a trained pharmacist can provide.
