Why Does My iPhone Say SOS?

My iPhone unexpectedly displayed SOS in the status bar, and I don't know what it means. Why is my iPhone showing SOS, and is it a sign of a network, SIM, or carrier problem? I want a simple explanation plus the solution.

When your iPhone displays "SOS, " it's indicating that it is not connected to the usual cellular network but can still make emergency calls. Typically, this situation arises when you are in an area with a very weak or no signal, there is a problem with your SIM card, your carrier service is down, or Airplane Mode was recently turned on. One of these solutions might help you: move to a place where the signal is better, restart your phone, turn Airplane Mode on and off, or check if your SIM card is properly inserted.

When your iPhone shows "SOS," it means that it is not linked to the regular cellular network, but it is still capable of making emergency calls. This usually occurs when you are in a region where the signal is very weak or nonexistent, your SIM card is having issues, your carrier service is unavailable, or you have just switched on Aeroplane Mode. Moving to a location with a stronger signal, restarting your phone, turning on and off Aeroplane Mode, or making sure your SIM card is inserted correctly are some possible solutions.
