What is Bluesky?

Hey, can someone explain what Bluesky is? I’ve heard a lot about it recently, but I’m not sure what it’s all about. Is it like Twitter, or something different? Any insights would be appreciated!

The open and decentralized AT Protocol served as the foundation for Bluesky, an American microblogging social media platform. In addition to providing special features like algorithmic choice and account migration across various services, it enables users to publish brief updates and content.

Bluesky is a social media platform created by Twitter’s former team to offer a more open, decentralized experience. It works like Twitter, but users can choose or create their own algorithms and communities, giving them more control over what they see and share.

The former staff of Twitter developed Bluesky, a social media platform, to provide a more transparent, decentralised experience. It functions similarly to Twitter, but users have greater control over what they view and share because they can design or select their own communities and algorithms.

It’s essentially a decentralized social network. It looks and feels like old-school Twitter, but the "AT Protocol" means you theoretically own your data and can move your followers to a different provider later.

Bluesky is a decentralized social media platform like Twitter (X) where users can share short messages, follow other users, and participate in discussions. However, instead of being a traditional platform, it operates on an open protocol called AT Protocol, which allows users to have more control over their data, feeds, and moderation.
