I’m a bit confused about what “1st” means on LinkedIn when viewing profiles or connections. Could someone explain what it represents and how it affects networking or visibility on the platform? Any clarification would be appreciated.

First-degree connection is referred to as 1st on LinkedIn. These are men and women you are directly connected with since you accepted their connection request or they accepted yours.

On LinkedIn, “1st” means a first-degree connection - someone you’re directly connected with. You can message them freely without needing an introduction.

In LinkedIn, a first-degree connection is referred to as 1st. They are people with whom you share a direct connection either through the fact that they asked to be connected with you or you allowed them to. It is possible to send messages to 1st-degree connections without having to use the InMail.
