useless leftovers nyt crossword

I think I can help you with that, the phrase for 'useless leftovers' is probably dregs, it's a common term used to describe something that's left over and not useful or wanted, it fits the description and is a plausible answer for a crossword puzzle, have you tried that or is there another word that's already filled in that's making it harder to figure out?

yeah dregs is a solid one. totally fits 'useless leftovers'. also heard 'scraps' used in that way sometimes, especially with food, but dregs feels more general.
