safe to delete installshield installation info folder?

nah man i wouldn't mess with that installshield folder directly. like, it can break some older program uninstalls if they rely on it. sometimes it's just installer remnants but honestly, the risk isn't worth the small amount of space. you'll probably get more by just running disk cleanup or checking your downloads folder for old stuff. also check your appdata temp files, those can get huge.

cool thanks for the heads up

I've been in your shoes before, trying to free up some space on my C drive. The InstallShield folder is usually a leftover from old installations, and it's generally safe to delete it. However, I would advise against deleting the entire folder, just to be on the safe side. Some installers might still be using the info in that folder to uninstall programs properly. If you're low on space, you could try deleting the files and subfolders within the InstallShield folder that are older than a few months, that way you'll still have the info for recent installations if you need to uninstall something.

This folder contains information about the installation of software that allows programs to be uninstalled. If removed, it would make the uninstallation process impossible. This action is risky because it may corrupt any installer and update processes, except when one is sure that nothing depends on it.
