russian dog names?

getting a husky mix puppy. anyone got some cool sounding russian names that aren't too common?

ooh congrats on the puppy! huskies are awesome. for names, my friend has a russian blue cat named Arkady, which i always thought sounded cool and kinda unique. another one i like is Ilya, feels strong but not super common for dogs. or if you want something shorter, maybe Sasha? it's technically unisex but works really well. good luck!

Russian dog names often sound strong and unique, inspired by Russian culture and language. Popular options include Boris, Ivan, Misha, Yuri, Sasha, Nikita, and Viktor for male dogs, while Anya, Katya, Mila, Natasha, Olga, and Irina are common for female dogs. These names are simple, distinctive, and give your pet a bold personality.

ooh arkady is interesting thanks for the suggestion

some less common ones - Lev (means lion, sounds strong on a husky), Misha (means bear, classic but underused for dogs), Zhora (more unusual, has character), Yuri (clean and one syllable so easy to call). if you read russian lit, names from pushkin or dostoevsky like Alyosha or Volodya are also great - sound unique without feeling made up.

Popular Russian dog names include Boris, Ivan, Yuri, Misha, Natasha, Sasha, Mila, Nikita, and Kira. These names often reflect Russian culture, strength, loyalty, and personality traits suited for different dog breeds.
