The original meaning of lore is knowledge or stories but Gen Z has turned lore into a slang term to refer to the back story or reputation of someone such as to say, that is her lore to explain her vibe or her past.
“Lore” means background story, history, or knowledge about something, often fictional. Gen Z uses “lore” as slang to describe someone’s personal history or funny backstory, like saying, “That’s part of my lore,” to explain quirky past events.
