hyperx cloud ii review

my old headset snapped. is the cloud ii still the gold standard for under $100 or is there something better now?

nah cloud ii is still good but i'd look at the cooler master mh751/752 now. it's basically a rebadged takstar pro 82 and the comfort is insane. mic is better too imo. usually right around the $100 mark.

Cloud II is still solid, but it’s not really the “undisputed king” anymore. Under $100, the HyperX Cloud III is usually the better pick now (clearer mic + slightly improved tuning), and the Razer BlackShark V2 X is also a strong option if you want better sound positioning for games. I personally wouldn’t buy Cloud II new unless it’s heavily discounted. There are just more refined headsets in the same price range today.
