I’ve seen people mention Twitter Advanced Search, but I don’t really know how to use it. Could you explain its features and suggest the best ways to search effectively?

I apply it when I have to locate particular tweets within a short period of time. You can sort by words, exact phrases, hashtags, dates, accounts and even set minimum likes or retweets there. Search hits and you will get yourself an accurate list of tweets that fit all your filters.

To use Twitter Advanced Search:
  1. Go to twitter.com/search-advanced on desktop.
  2. Enter specific words, phrases, or hashtags to find relevant tweets.
  3. Filter by accounts, dates, languages, or engagement levels.
  4. Combine filters for precise results.
This helps discover specific tweets, monitor topics, and analyze trends efficiently.

You can use Twitter Advanced Search by going to Twitter’s search bar, typing a keyword, and then clicking on “Advanced search” (or directly via the URL: twitter.com/search-advanced). It lets you filter tweets by words, phrases, hashtags, accounts, dates, and engagement. For best results, combine filters for example, search for tweets from a specific account containing certain words within a date range. It’s great for finding old tweets or monitoring specific topics quickly.

  1. Get to the tool using a desktop browser at twitter.com/search-advanced or via a search result using a keyword and clicking on Advanced Search.
  2. Narrow the topic by filtering by words / phrases, hashtags, and language.
  3. Filter by accounts (to, or mentions) and date range (since: YYYY-MM-DD).
  4. e.g. engagement such as minimum likes or replies or retweets to popular content.

Twitter Advanced Search is also available by visiting the search box of Twitter and typing in a word and then clicking Advanced search (or directly, through URL: twitter.com/search-advanced). It allows you to filter tweets by words, phrases, hashtags, accounts, date, and engagement. To achieve optimal results, you can filter e.g., search results based on tweets sent by a particular account using specific words over a date period. It is awesome in search of old tweets or tracking a given topic at a glance.

Advanced search through Twitter can be done by visiting the twitter search engine or by clicking the Advanced search button in the twitter search engine. Search with the help of keywords, hashtags, accounts, dates, or phrases. Should be filtered by positive/negative sentiment, engagement or language. Click Search to search targeted tweets that are exact and specific to your criteria.

Go to Twitter’s Advanced Search page, enter specific keywords, filters, or dates, and click “Search” to find precise tweets.

Go to twitter.com/search-advanced, enter your keywords, filters (dates, accounts, etc.), then click Search to see refined results.
