How to Turn off Comments on Facebook Post?

I’m trying to figure out how to turn off comments on a Facebook post. Can someone guide me through the steps or explain if it’s possible for both personal profiles and pages?

To turn off comments on a Facebook post, tap the three dots (…) on your post, choose “Who can comment on your post,” and select “Profiles and Pages you mention” or “Only Me.” This limits or disables comments while keeping the post visible.

To disable the comments in a Facebook post, open the post and tap the three dots at the right hand side of the top right of the post. To stop comments, go to the Choose Who can comment on your post and so forth and choose the option provided such as Profiles and Pages you mention. In case of a post on Facebook Group, the direct Turn off commenting will often be available in the same menu. It is also used to control who to allow to comment, but the choice may differ a little in number between personal profiles, pages, and groups.

Yes, you can control who comments on your Facebook posts, but the options differ slightly for personal profiles and pages. On a personal profile, you can’t completely turn off comments for all friends, but you can limit who can comment by clicking the three dots on your post, selecting “Who can comment on your post?”, and choosing either Friends or Profiles and Pages you mention. For Facebook Pages, you have more control: go to Settings → General → Visitor Posts or adjust comment moderation settings for individual posts to restrict or hide comments. This way, you can manage interactions without fully disabling the post.
