hey op, seems like everyone's telling you how to factory reset your phone which wipes everything. a soft reset is actually just restarting it! for most iphones, you press and hold the power button and either volume up or down until the slider appears, then slide to power off. wait a sec, then turn it back on. that usually fixes minor glitches without losing data. the 'erase all content' thing is a full wipe.
