How to Make Obsidian in Minecraft?

I'm trying to figure out how to make Obsidian in Minecraft. I know it’s used for crafting things like Nether Portals and Ender Chests, but I’m not sure what the exact steps are. Do I need a specific tool or environment to create it? Would appreciate any tips!

To create obsidian in Minecraft, you need to cool a lava source block with water. The lava has to be a source block, so the water has to flow over it. If the water is coming into contact with the lava source, the lava turns into obsidian. But remember, this is the only way you can get obsidian to drop is if you press the mining with a diamond or netherite pickaxe.

To make obsidian in Minecraft, you have to pour water over a lava source block so that it cools into obsidian. It only works with lava source blocks, not flowing lava, and you will need a diamond or netherite pickaxe to mine it.

In Minecraft, to create obsidian, one must combine a lava source block with a water source. This is done by pouring water onto the lava; the lava turns black and hardens into obsidian. However, one must use a diamond or netherite pickaxe to mine it, as other tools will destroy it. The process of making obsidian includes locating lava pools or flowing lava, placing water in such a way that source blocks are turned into obsidian, and mining it carefully, often with efficiency enchantments to make the slow process faster.

The game Minecraft requires just two elements, water and lava, to make obsidian. To get obsidian in Minecraft, you have to place water on top of a lava source block (a block that is not flowing), and the lava will be converted into obsidian. Afterward, a diamond or netherite pickaxe should be utilized for mining the obsidian.

The process of making obsidian includes pouring water over the lava source blocks which make a strong block that is often used in creating Nether portals and making advanced crafting.
