How To Fix Discord Javascript Error?

How can I fix the Discord JavaScript error? Looking for troubleshooting steps, causes, and solutions to get Discord working again.

Discord‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ mobile lacks a straightforward feature to separately change the sound of the screenshare, thus the user must operate it with the volume keys of the phone during viewing the stream, confirm that the media volume is indeed up and also that the streamer has turned on “Share device audio” (on Android,) as in most cases low or no sound is caused by system volume and audio sharing option being ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌off.

The usual way to fix this is to remove the cache files that are corrupted.
  1. Completely close Discord (also see Task Manager).
  2. Open Run (Windows key + R), type %appdata%, and remove the Discord folder.
  3. Do the same for %localappdata%.
  4. Get a new copy of Discord from their official website. If that doesn't help, try running Discord as an Administrator.

In‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ order to debug the Discord JavaScript error, you have to close Discord fully. After that, press Win + R, input %appdata%, and remove the Discord folder. Return to %localappdata%, and delete the Discord folder there too. Next, reboot your computer and get the most recent version of Discord from the official website and install ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌it.

The mistake can be solved by reinstalling Discord, clearing its cache, or executing the program as an administrator. Staying up to date with your operating system is also a possibility.

Corrupted files or permission issues are the major causes of this error. It is normally fixed by re-installing Discord, emptying cache folders or by running the program as an administrator.
