Hi, I'm facing Discord Error 3002 and could use some help! This error usually happens when there's a connection issue or server problem preventing me from logging in. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any suggestions on how to fix it, like troubleshooting network settings or reinstalling the app? I’d really appreciate your advice!

The fix to Discord Error 3002 occurs typically in the form of a cache clear, updates on Discord, re-launching of the app, disabling VPN, or even re-installation. The issue can also be solved by logging out and in as well as changing networks.

Discord‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ error 3002 is most of the time an issue that is related to these two things: installation or permissions. Therefore, it is recommended that you restart your computer once. After that, open Discord with admin rights, turn off your antivirus or firewall for a short time, and if the problem is still there, remove Discord from your computer entirely, clear the leftover folders from AppData, and install the newest version of Discord directly from the official Discord ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌website.

Discord Error 3002 means that the application is not able to identify your microphone. Fix it in the following ways:
  • Permission Granting: Give permission for "Microphone Access" in Windows/Mac Settings for Discord.
  • Device Selection: In Discord Voice & Video settings manually pick the input device that you want to use.

Yeah, I’ve seen that one, try restarting Discord and your internet first, then log out and back in. If it still happens, reinstall Discord or temporarily disable VPN/firewall, as those often cause Error 3002.

Yeah, I ran into Discord Error 3002 last month. In my case, it turned out to be a temporary Discord server issue. Before changing anything on your system, I’d suggest checking Discord’s status page or Twitter to see if there’s an outage. I wasted a lot of time troubleshooting when the problem wasn’t on my end 😅.
