Does anyone know how to delete a Twitter account? I’ve been thinking about closing mine for good, but I’m not exactly sure how to go about it. Any advice on the steps or things to consider before doing it would be really helpful!

In order to delete your X (Twitter) account forever:
  1. Click on Settings and privacy Your account Deactivate your account.
  2. Check off deactivate and type in your password.
  3. After 30 days, you will not be able to view your account anymore because it will be permanently deleted.

To delete your twitter account, do the following:
  1. Go to Settings and privacy.
  2. Select "Your account."
  3. Select Disable your account.
  4. Read and verify the information.
  5. Your account will be removed in 30 days.

To completely get rid of your X (previously Twitter) account, visit the settings and privacy, choose Your account and deactivate your account. Check off the deactivate option as a means of confirming the process and then type in your password. The account will be deactivated and it would take 30 days. Otherwise, you will clear your account and all the information in it forever by not logging in within this timeframe and you will not be able to see or restore it.

This is the way to delete your Twitter account:
  • Log in: Sign in: Log in to your twitter account on the app or on the web.
  • Go to Settings: Click on profile, settings and privacy.
  • Account Settings: Tap Your account.
  • Close Account: Select Deactivate your account.
  • Read Info: Go through the deactivation information (Twitter stores your information within 30 days in case you change your mind).
  • Confirm: Confirm deactivation and enter password.
You are deleted after 30 days of not logging in and your account and data are gone forever.

You can delete your Twitter account by going to Settings & Privacy → Your Account → Deactivate Account. Read the info carefully, as Twitter keeps your data for 30 days in case you change your mind. After that, it’s permanent. Make sure to download any data you want before deactivating.
