How to delete instagram

I want to permanently delete my Instagram account, not just deactivate it. Can someone walk me through the exact steps to do this, preferably from a desktop?

Here’s how to delete your Instagram account step by step:

1. Log in to Instagram via a web browser (account deletion isn’t available in the app).
2. Go to the Delete Your Account page: instagram.com/accounts/remove/request.

yeah, jade's steps are spot on for doing it from a browser. just make sure you're cool with it because even though it says 'delete,' instagram usually gives you a 30-day window where you can log back in and cancel the deletion if you change your mind. after that, it's really gone though.
