How to Clear Discord Cache?

I'm having some issues with Discord running slowly and I think it might be due to cached files. Can anyone explain how to clear the Discord cache safely without affecting my chats or settings?

To clear the Discord cache, close the application, then delete cache folders from:
Windows: %AppData%\\discord\\Cache, Code Cache, GPUCache
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/discord/Cache
Restart Discord afterwards.

To clear the cache of Discord, you do not lose chats or settings, but goes out of Discord entirely, after which it goes to a folder on your computer called the cache. On windows, open Win + R, enter the path as C:\Users percentage appdata percentage disord percentage cache percentage and delete everything in the folder. In Mac, delete the contents at the path of application support at discord/Cache. Then, start Discord again - the first time it could work slower, but it tends to resolve the performance problems. Your messages and environments will be maintained.

To clear Discord cache, close the app and delete files from its Cache folder on your device, or on mobile go to Settings → Apps → Discord → Storage → Clear Cache to free space and fix issues.

To clear Discord cache, close Discord, then open your file explorer. Go to %AppData%/Discord/Cache on Windows or ~/Library/Application Support/discord/Cache on Mac. Delete all files inside the “Cache,” “Code Cache,” and “GPUCache” folders. Restart Discord to free up space and improve performance.

The process varies by device:
  • Windows/Mac Desktop: Quit Discord completely. Navigate to the AppData folder (%appdata%/discord on Windows) and delete the Cache, Code Cache, and GPUCache folders.
  • Android: Go to device Settings $\rightarrow$ Apps $\rightarrow$ Discord $\rightarrow$ Storage and tap "Clear cache."
  • iPhone/iPad: The official way is to Offload or Delete and reinstall the Discord app to clear the cache.

In case Discord is misbehaving, then you can clear its cache: find the full version of Discord and open your file explorer, and go to the Appdata roaming, Discord cache and delete all the files, then restart Discord. It is not going to delete your chats — only provisional files.

To get rid of the Discord cache, close the program, remove files in the Cache, Code Cache and GPUCache folders on desktop. Android Check Settings / Apps / Discord / Clear Cache.
