How to Add Music to a Video in Canva?

Hey, does anyone know how to add music to a video in Canva? I’ve been working on a project, and I’d love to add a soundtrack, but I’m not sure how to do it. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I do this in Canva all the time—it’s pretty simple:

1. Open your video project in Canva.
2. Click on “Uploads” or the “Music” tab in the left-hand menu.
3. Upload your own audio or choose from Canva’s music library.
4. Drag the track onto your video timeline and adjust the length or position.
5. Preview the video and download when you’re happy.

It’s super easy to layer music and even trim it to match your clips.

To include music to your Canva video:

1. Create a video project in Canva.
2. Click the Audio tab (or tick the Apps then Audio) off the side panel.
3. Find a music song or post one.
4. Click on the track that you want to add then it will automatically appear in the timeline of your video.

adding a soundtrack to a video in Canva, start by opening the editor and selecting Audio from the bottom or side panel. Next, pick a track from either the music library or your uploads, and click on it to insert it into the timeline. After that, you will be able to use the audio controls that show up on the timeline to modify and cut the audio clip.

In Canva, unlock your video project, select a track by clicking on the section of the left panel, which is labelled as Audio, and then select the one you want or upload your own. Adding it to the timeline, stretch, increase or decrease its duration and volume and preview and save your video with the music.
