how many pictures can you upload to chatgpt plus?

is there a hard cap on how many pictures you can upload to chatgpt plus in one prompt? trying to feed it a bunch of screenshots.

There isn’t a strict “number of images” cap per prompt, but you’ll usually hit a file size/total upload limit first, so in practice it’s safer to send screenshots in smaller batches rather than all at once.

yeah i noticed that too. for me it's usually when i'm trying to send like 10+ screenshots at once, even if they're small, it just kinda chokes. batches are definitely the way to go. good call.
