is there a hard cap on how many pictures you can upload to chatgpt plus in one prompt? trying to feed it a bunch of screenshots.

There isn’t a strict “number of images” cap per prompt, but you’ll usually hit a file size/total upload limit first, so in practice it’s safer to send screenshots in smaller batches rather than all at once.

yeah i noticed that too. for me it's usually when i'm trying to send like 10+ screenshots at once, even if they're small, it just kinda chokes. batches are definitely the way to go. good call.

I've played around with ChatGPT Plus and from what I've seen, there doesn't seem to be a hard cap on the number of pictures you can upload in one prompt, but the total file size is limited to 10MB per upload. If you're trying to feed it a bunch of screenshots, you might need to compress them or upload them in batches to stay within that limit. I've uploaded around 5-6 screenshots at once without any issues, but if you have a lot more, you might need to split them up into separate prompts to avoid hitting that file size limit.
