old digital movie libraries are such a mess. anyone else lose movies during the flixster shutdown?

oh god yes. the flixster thing was such a mess. i definitely lost some movies i'd bought through them back then. it really makes you question going all-digital, right? like you never truly own anything, just get to access it until a company decides to shut down or migrate. super annoying tbh.

I totally feel your pain, I had a bunch of movies in my Flixster library that just disappeared when they shut down, it was really frustrating. I tried to link my account to Google, but it didn't transfer all of my movies over, I'm still missing a few titles. I've been trying to track them down and repurchase them, but it's been a real hassle. I wish they had made the migration process smoother, it's like they just abandoned all of our libraries and expected us to deal with it, really annoying.

Since Flixster shut down, they let people migrate their movie libraries over to Google Play or Fandango at the time. It was a bit of a hassle but luckily most collections transferred over fine.
