Firestick Remote Not Working! How To Fix?

My Firestick remote has stopped working and I’m not sure why. I’ve tried a few basic steps but nothing seems to help. Does anyone know how to fix this or have any troubleshooting tips?

General solutions to the problem are to change batteries, reconnect the remote, restart Fire TV, or use Fire TV App. Hardware damage might need a new remote.
