Hey! So, from what I've seen, most Walmarts are still pretty hard-set on Walmart Pay only for self-checkout. It's super annoying, tbh. I wish they'd just accept Apple Pay like every other store. Had to run back to my car for my physical card more times than I can count because I forgot about their policy. Hope you managed to sort it out!
