Hey, I’ve been wondering—are AirPods actually waterproof? I know they’re water-resistant to some extent, but can I take them out in the rain or wear them while working out without worrying about damaging them? Any insights or experiences you have would be super helpful!

Nope, AirPods aren’t fully waterproof. Most models (like AirPods Pro and 3rd gen) are **water- and sweat-resistant**, which is fine for workouts or light rain, but they can still get damaged if you drop them in water or wear them in the shower.

No, AirPods are not fully waterproof.
  • AirPods (1st & 2nd gen) – Not water-resistant at all.
  • AirPods Pro & AirPods 3rd genSweat and water-resistant (IPX4), can handle sweat or light rain but not submersion.

No, AirPods are not waterproof. Most models like the AirPods (3rd generation) and AirPods Pro are water-resistant (IPX4 or higher) for non-water sports and sweat, but should not be submerged.

Although more recent models, such as the AirPods Pro and AirPods (3rd generation), are water-resistant (IPX4 rated), AirPods themselves are not waterproof. This indicates that they are safe from perspiration and light water splashes, but they shouldn't be submerged or used for swimming or taking a shower.

No, AirPods are not waterproof, but some models are water-resistant.
  • AirPods (3rd Gen) and AirPods Pro (all models) are rated IPX4 or higher, meaning they can handle sweat and light splashes of rain (suitable for workouts).
  • They should not be submerged in water, worn in the shower, or used for swimming, as they are not fully waterproof.

No, AirPods do not have waterproof property, but they can withstand sweat and water to a certain extent. Nevertheless, the newest versions, such as AirPods Pro, AirPods 3, and AirPods 4, have been rated IP54 for dust, sweat, and very light water splash resistance, but they should not be used underwater, while bathing, or if they are completely immersed in water.
