anyone still using application compatibility toolkit 5.0?

Very few people still use Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0 today.
  • It’s a legacy tool (2007–2008 era) built for Windows Vista
  • It’s no longer supported and downloads are archived
  • Microsoft replaced it with tools in the Windows ADK (modern compatibility tools)
Only used in rare legacy environments—most users have moved to newer tools.

Compatibility Toolkit version 5.0 is considered outdated and is no longer being used in current IT infrastructure. The Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0 caters to older versions of Windows such as Vista and 7. Some old servers could be using it for compatibility testing purposes, although in most cases, more advanced testing utilities provided in Windows ADK have replaced it entirely.

Yes, a few legacy IT environments still use Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0, mostly for old Windows XP/Vista application testing or archived enterprise systems. However, most organizations have migrated to newer tools like Windows ADK, so ACT 5.0 is now largely obsolete and unsupported.

yeah everyone's right here. tbh, act 5.0 is way too old for windows 10 migration. it was designed for like vista/xp systems. you really need to look at the tools included in the windows adk for modern compatibility testing. trying to use 5.0 for win10 would probably just cause more problems than it solves. it's def deprecated for new stuff.
