Hey, can anyone help me out with YouTube video dimensions? I’m trying to upload a video and want to make sure it fits perfectly on all devices. What are the ideal video resolution and aspect ratio for YouTube? Any suggestions?

YouTube’s standard video size is 1920×1080 (1080p) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also supports 1280×720 (720p), 2560×1440 (1440p), and 3840×2160 (4K) — all in the same 16:9 ratio. Shorts, though, use 1080×1920 (vertical).

The recommended resolution for YouTube videos is 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD), and the standard dimensions are based on a 16:9 aspect ratio. YouTube does, however, support a range of pixels from 426x240 to 7680x4320 (8K UHD). 1080x1920 pixels with a 9:16 vertical aspect ratio are used in YouTube Shorts.

YouTube videos available in any of the New 1920×1080 pixels (full HD) 16:9 aspect ratios are the most appropriate. You can even upload in 720p and 4K in case you would prefer. In the case of YouTube Shorts, it is vertical — 1080×1920.
