What Does Idle Mean On Discord?

Based on my observation, I found that Discord users show "Idle" status, but I am not quite sure what it means. Does idle mean the person is online but not physically using Discord, or are they completely away from their device? Also, how long does it take for Discord to display the idle status of someone, and can you set the status manually? I am just trying to figure out how Discord status works.

"Idle' on Discord typically refers to a user's status indicating they are not actively using their account. It can be due to a device being shut down, a user being AFK (away from keyboard), or their account being inactive. This status is usually denoted by a clock or an idle animation."

Idle on Discord is being online, but not active. It normally comes when you have not used the app in some time or when your device is not around. The yellow crescent moon in your status indicates that other people know you are still connected to Discord, but not currently chatting or otherwise using it.

On Discord, the Idle status (indicated by a yellow crescent moon icon) means a user is online but hasn't interacted with the app for at least 10 minutes. It can also be set manually if you want to appear away while still receiving notifications.
