Can someone help me figure out how to turn off the touchscreen on a Chromebook? I’m looking for a quick way to disable it temporarily, as it's causing some issues with my workflow. Any tips or steps would be greatly appreciated!

To shut off your Chromebook touchscreen:
  1. Click Press Search + Shift + T to obtain Crosh (the Chrome OS developer shell).
  2. Type: shell and press Enter.
  3. Then one should type the following: sudo input disable touchscreen and press Enter.
Alternatively, it can be switched off on the settings touchscreen, Toggle Off in device settings, in the event that this option exists on your model.

To turn off the touchscreen on a Chromebook:
  1. Press Search + Shift + T (sometimes it’s Search + Shift + T again to turn it back on).
  2. If that doesn’t work, open Chrome, type chrome://flags/#ash-debug-shortcuts, and enable it.
  3. Restart your Chromebook, then use Search + Shift + T to toggle the touchscreen.

To turn off the touchscreen on a Chromebook:
  1. Press Search + Shift + T (enables debugging shortcuts if needed).
  2. Then press Search + Shift + T again to toggle the touchscreen off or on.
If it doesn’t work, enable debugging shortcuts in chrome://flags → Debugging keyboard shortcuts → Enable → Restart.

To turn off the touchscreen on a Chromebook, open Settings → Device → Displays. Look for the Touchscreen option and toggle it off. Some models may require enabling Developer Mode to access touchscreen settings. Restart the device if changes don’t apply immediately.
