How to Temporarily Deactivate Instagram?

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to temporarily deactivate an Instagram account? I’m thinking of taking a short break from social media but don’t want to delete my account permanently. Can someone guide me through the steps?

Logging in via a web browser and not the app is the only way to temporarily disable Instagram. Click your profile and then Click edit profile and you see at the bottom temporarily deactivate my account. Select any reason and re-enter your password and confirm. Your profile, photos, and comments will be concealed until you do not activate it by logging in again.

You can temporarily disable your instagram account by signing into instagram via a Web browser (not the application). Click on Profile and under the edit profile, there is a bottom option of temporarily deactivate my account. Select a reason and then password and confirm. Your account is going to be obscure until you retrieve it.

Hey! To temporarily deactivate your Instagram:

1. Go to Instagram.com on a browser (this can’t be done in the app).
2. Log in and click your profile → Edit Profile.
3. Scroll down and click Temporarily disable my account.
4. Choose a reason and re-enter your password.
5. Click Temporarily Disable Account.

Your account will be hidden until you log back in.
