I take a lot of screenshots in my daily work, but I don't know how to take a screenshot on my Dell computer. I would appreciate knowing the shortcut key if anyone knows it

Press PrtScn to copy the entire screen. Use Alt + PrtScn to capture only the active window. For more options, use Windows + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool for a selective screenshot. Images save to your clipboard or Screenshots folder.

To take a snapshot of the entire screen, press PrtScn, and Alt + PrtScn to take a snapshot of the active window. Sniping options can be made with Windows + Shift + S.

To screenshot on a Dell computer, press PrtScn to capture the whole screen or Alt + PrtScn for the active window. Paste into an app like Paint. For more options, use Windows + Shift + S to open Snip & Sketch.

To screenshot on a Dell computer, press the PrtScn key to capture the whole screen. For a specific window, press Alt + PrtScn. You can then paste it into an app like Paint using Ctrl + V.

On Dell laptops, you can take a screenshot by pressing Alt + PrtScn for the active window or PrtScn for the full screen. For snipping options, press Windows + Shift + S. In Paint or Photos, paste or save the picture.

  • Full Screen Auto-Save: Press the Windows key + PrtScn (Print Screen). The screenshot is saved as a file in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.
  • Custom Area (Snipping Tool): Press Windows key + Shift + S, then drag your cursor to select the specific area to capture.
  • Full Screen/Active Window (Clipboard): Press PrtScn to copy the whole screen or Alt + PrtScn for the active window to your clipboard. Paste it into an image editor (like Paint) to save.

To take a screenshot on a Dell computer, you can use these methods:
  1. Full Screen: Press PrtScn – captures the entire screen and copies it to the clipboard. Paste it into Paint or Word.
  2. Active Window: Press Alt + PrtScn – captures only the active window.
  3. Specific Area: Press Windows + Shift + S – opens the Snipping Tool to select a portion of the screen.
  4. Auto Save Screenshot: Press Windows + PrtScn – saves the full screenshot directly to Pictures → Screenshots.
