how to screen record on mac

To screen record on a Mac, Shift Command 5 is pressed to open the built-in recorder. Select to record the entire screen or part of it, then click on record. QuickTime Player can also be used by clicking on File and screen recording new. To save, clicking the stop button in the menu bar is enough.

yeah that command shift 5 shortcut is super handy. does it always save to desktop by default or can you change that easily?
