I want to save a GIF I saw on Twitter, but I’m not sure how to do it. Can you suggest the easiest steps or tools to download and save Twitter GIFs?

To save a GIF from Twitter (X), open the post containing the GIF. Tap the ⋮ (More) icon on the post, then select Download video or Save video. The GIF will be saved to your device’s camera roll as a video file.

To save a GIF from Twitter, copy the tweet’s link and use a third-party website like “twittervideodownloader.com.” Paste the link, download the video version of the GIF, and save it to your device. Alternatively, use apps like “TweeDownload” or browser extensions designed for downloading Twitter media.

In order to save a GIF on twitter, you should copy the tweet link that has the GIF. Go through a third-party platform or application such as Twitter Video Downloader. copy the link, and save it as a video file (MP4). In any case, you can then convert it to a GIF through any free online converter.

In order to save a GIF on Twitter, paste a link of the tweet on third party site such as twdownload or SaveTweetVid. Select video format, paste the link and download. Because twitter stores GIFs as video files, you will really be saving an MP4 instead of a GIF file.

Most GIFs on Twitter are converted to tiny MP4 video files, so you can't save them as GIFs directly. The general procedure is as follows:
  • Copy the Link: Click the Share button on the GIF-containing Tweet and choose "Copy link to Tweet."
  • Make Use of an Internet Tool: Visit a free Twitter GIF/Video Downloader website (such as TwitterVideoDownloader or EZGIF).
  • Get it as an MP4 file: Download the file, which is probably an MP4 video, by pasting the copied link into the tool's input box.
  • Convert (Optional): Upload the MP4 and convert it back to a.gif file using the same tool (or an online video-to-GIF converter) if you require the actual GIF format.
