How To Mark All Emails As Read in Gmail?

I am drowning in unread emails in my Gmail inbox, and frankly, it's getting pretty messy. What I want to do is mark all my emails as read at once in Gmail so that I don't have to open them one by one. Is there a nice, simple, and easy way to do this on desktop or mobile while still not missing anything important? I would really appreciate some step-by-step instructions.

First, to turn all mail messages into read ones in Gmail, launch your inbox using a web browser on a desktop. Then tick the small box at the top to choose all visible emails, and when done, click on Select all conversations in Inbox. Afterwards, press the Mark as read icon. This way, you get rid of all unread messages very fast; if you use the app, unfortunately, it means a little more work as there is no "mark all as read" one-step option, so you will have to go through labels one by one.

To mark all emails as read in Gmail, open your inbox, click the Select all checkbox at the top, then choose Mark as read.
