How to Know If Someone Blocked You on Facebook?

Could someone help me figure out how to tell if a person has blocked me on Facebook? I'm noticing a few odd things and I'm not sure what they mean. Any guidance would really help!

If someone blocked you on Facebook, their profile suddenly disappears for you, you can’t tag them, message them, or see old conversations properly, and searching their name shows nothing — but if their profile is still visible when you check from another account or browser, that’s a pretty strong sign you’ve been blocked.

The main sign is their profile won't appear in search results for you. You also cannot view their profile (you'll see an "unavailable" message) or send them a message on Messenger. If a mutual friend can still see their active profile, you are likely blocked.

The strongest signs are inability to find their profile in Facebook Search or your Friends list, and seeing a "Content is unavailable" error if you try to visit their direct profile link. If they still show up to a mutual friend, you are blocked; if not, they may have deactivated.

You might be blocked on Facebook if you can’t find their profile, send messages, or see their posts, and mutual friends still can. Also, previous messages may show “Facebook User” instead of their name.

Key signs you're blocked on Facebook:
  • You can't find their profile via search.
  • Their profile link shows "content unavailable."
  • Past comments have disappeared with their name unclickable.
  • You can't message them or tag them.

To know if someone blocked you on Facebook, check a few signs. First, search their name if their profile doesn’t appear but you can still see it from another account or browser, you may be blocked. You also won’t be able to view their profile, send messages, or see old conversations; their name may appear as “Facebook User.” If you were friends, they will disappear from your friends list and you won’t see their posts or comments anywhere. These signs together usually mean you’ve been blocked, but the account could also be deactivated, so check carefully.
