Later, under Developer Options, you should allow "Install Unknown Apps" for the Downloader app (this app can be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore).

Once you have Kodi up and running, I’ve found that using a universal remote app is the most convenient way to navigate the interface and control your Firestick directly from your phone.
I was actually in the middle of doing this myself yesterday using the Downloader app method. It’s usually the most reliable way, but I hit a weird roadblock where the APK would download fine, but the "Install" button was grayed out and wouldn't let me click it.

It turned out to be a permissions glitch with the Firestick’s latest update. I had to go into Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options and not only enable "Apps from Unknown Sources," but specifically go into the sub-menu for the Downloader app and toggle it to "ON" individually. Once I did that, the installer fired right up.

You can install Kodi on a Firestick by first enabling Apps from Unknown Sources in Developer Options, then downloading the Downloader app from the Amazon App Store. Open Downloader, enter the official Kodi download URL, install the APK, and follow the setup steps. I installed it this way on my Firestick and it only took a few minutes. Just make sure you download Kodi from the official site to avoid modified versions.

So you're getting the "this site can't be reached" error, that's really frustrating. I've had that happen to me before too, usually it's because of a connection issue or the site's server is down. Have you tried checking your internet connection or trying to access the site from a different device or browser? Sometimes it's just a simple glitch that can be fixed by clearing your cache or restarting your router. If none of that works, it's possible the site is experiencing technical difficulties, you might want to try checking their social media or support page to see if they've posted any updates about the issue.

To install Kodi on an Amazon Fire TV Stick, first enable “Apps from Unknown Sources” in the Firestick settings under Developer Options. Then install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore. Open Downloader, enter the official Kodi download URL from Kodi, download the Android ARMV7A version, and follow the installation prompts. After installation, Kodi will appear in your apps list and can be used to stream locally stored or legally available media content.

When you're getting the "this site can't be reached" error, it usually means there's a problem with your internet connection or the website itself. First, try restarting your router to see if that resolves the issue. If not, check if the website is down for everyone or just you by using a website status checker. It's also a good idea to clear your browser's cache and cookies, as sometimes this can cause problems with accessing certain sites. If none of these steps work, you might want to try using a different browser or device to see if the issue is specific to one browser or device.
