How to Force Quit On Mac?

Hey, I’m having trouble with an unresponsive app on my Mac and I’m not sure how to force quit it. Is there a shortcut or specific way to do this? I’d really appreciate any tips or step-by-step help—thanks in advance!
 
To force quit on Mac:

Quickest Way:​

Press Command (⌘) + Option + Esc
→ Select the app → Click Force Quit

Other Options:​

  • Apple Menu () > Force Quit
  • Use Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) → Select app → Click X
 
To force quit on a Mac, press Command + Option + Esc, select the unresponsive app in the window, then click Force Quit. Alternatively, right-click the app in the Dock and choose Force Quit.
