how to fix vanguard error van 57

riot's vanguard keeps crashing my game with a van 57 error on startup. rebooting my pc didn't fix it.

That VAN 57 error usually means Riot Vanguard isn’t starting right, so try opening Services and restart “vgc” manually or just reinstall Vanguard from VALORANT, that fixed it for me once

yeah stacy's on point with that. the vgc service is usually the culprit for van 57. if restarting it or reinstalling from valorant doesn't fix it, sometimes running a game repair from the riot client itself can also kickstart vanguard properly. happened to me once after an update.
