yeah, unfortunately it is. my company just went through setting it up and it requires the full copilot for microsoft 365 license, so it's not included with standard teams subscriptions. kinda annoying how they split it out tbh.

To enable AI notes in Microsoft Teams :

1. You need a license:
   • Microsoft 365 Copilot OR Teams Premium
2. Turn on settings:
   • Enable transcription & Copilot in meeting options
3. In a meeting:
   • Click Copilot / AI notes (sparkle icon) to start notes

Without the right license or admin permissions, AI notes won’t appear.
