How To Delete Discord Account?

I'm considering deleting my Discord account permanently, but I'm a bit confused about the process. What is the correct way to delete a Discord account through desktop or mobile? Also, does deleting an account remove all the messages and servers? Is there a delay before the account is completely deleted? I would really be happy if you could explain this step, by, step.

To delete a Discord account:
Go to User Settings (gear icon) → My Account → click Delete Account → enter your password (and 2FA code if enabled) → confirm. Your account will be permanently removed after confirmation.

To delete your Discord account, go to User Settings → My Account, scroll down, and click Delete Account. Enter your password (and 2FA code if enabled), then confirm. Make sure you transfer ownership of any servers you own first, or delete them, or Discord won’t let you remove your account.

"Hey, if you wanna delete your Discord account, just head to the Account Settings page on Discord.com, click on 'Edit' next to your username, then select 'Delete Account' from the dropdown menu. Make sure you're logged in with the account you want to delete and follow the prompts to confirm. That's it."

Just jumping in here, everyone's pretty much spot on with the delete steps. But has anyone mentioned that you can also just *disable* your account instead of fully deleting it? It's under the same 'My Account' settings. Might be a good option if you're not 100% sure you wanna ditch it forever but need a break. Imo, it's way less permanent than full deletion.
