How to clear RAM and free up memory on a Mac

My Mac slows to a crawl by the afternoon and the 'memory pressure' graph in Activity Monitor is basically always yellow. Is there an actual proper way to clear the RAM, or is that a myth and I should just close tabs? Genuinely trying to understand how the memory side of this works.

The absolute quickest way is just doing a simple restart since it flushes everything out perfectly. You can also open up your Activity Monitor and force quit any massive background apps that are hogging all your memory

Here's how to clear RAM on Mac: Close the applications you don't need and restart the Mac computer. To find out which processes use a lot of memory, and to close any that are not needed, you can also use Activity Monitor. Having less tabs open and closing tabs that you don't use can free up memory and improve performance.

I've been there too, it's really frustrating when a site just won't load and you don't get any useful error messages. Usually, the first thing I try is checking my internet connection, making sure I'm connected to the right network and that it's stable. If that doesn't work, I try clearing my browser's cache and cookies, sometimes that can resolve the issue. You could also try checking if the site is down for everyone or just for you, there are websites that can tell you if a site is experiencing downtime.

To quickly clear your Mac’s RAM, close resource-heavy applications, end background processes using the Activity Monitor, or Restart your device to flush the memory completely.
