How to Add Collaborator on Instagram?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to add a collaborator to my Instagram post, but I'm not sure how it works. Can anyone guide me on how to invite someone to co-author a post or reel? I’d really appreciate the help!

To add a collaborator on Instagram, either make a new post or reel and in the post, or reel, touch Tag people and invite collaborator. Look and pick the user that you wish to collaborate with. The post will be shared on both profiles in the case they accept the invite, and likes, comments, and engagement will be shared equally.

When creating an Instagram post, you add a collaborator:

1. Create a new post (either a reel or a feed post).
2. Before sharing, add your content and proceed to the last screen.
3. Press "Tag People."
4. After choosing "Invite Collaborator," type the user's name.
5. The collaborator must accept the invite (by direct message) for the post to show up on their profile; otherwise, it will go live on yours.
