Dolby has just announced Dolby Vision 2, a major upgrade to its HDR technology, now powered by AI. I'm looking to understand what improvements this brings and how it might impact content creators, streaming platforms, or even everyday viewers. Any insights or suggestions on how this AI integration changes things compared to the original Dolby Vision?

Dolby Vision IQ with AI dynamically optimizes brightness, contrast, and color frame-by-frame based on your room's lighting and content scene. For creators, it enables finer artistic intent; for viewers, it delivers a consistently stunning, adaptive HDR experience on supported displays and platforms.

Dolby has announced Dolby Vision 2, an AI-powered upgrade to its HDR format that enhances picture quality with smarter tone mapping, improved motion control, and adaptive brightness. It comes in two tiers—standard and Dolby Vision 2 Max, the latter offering creator-driven motion tools for a more cinematic feel. Hisense will be the first to support it, with content from Canal+ arriving soon.
